Onophotopoeia

Some times even the most mundane of scenes, the most commonplace of faces or the most trivial of objects prove to be a cradle of beauty...unleashing new meanings when looked at again and again. The true magic of photography lies in the fact that we can capture the fleeting moments to revisit them...to listen to the music that the image resounds... Onophotopoeia...

Rewind....

"You run and you run
To catch up with the sun
But it's sinking.
Racing around to come up behind you again...
The sun is the same in a relative way but you are older
Shorter of breath
And one day closer to death"

I fished out this photograph taken a long time back at Moosehead Lake, Maine. Memories of a very special trip combined with the performance of my old and featureless camera make this a very treasured photograph for me.

Imagine...

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today...

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
